WORD TEST 1

WORD TEST
BY JARRETT L. PERDUE SR.

INTRODUCTION
My name is Jarrett L. Perdue Sr. I have developed what I call, WORD TEST. This is to enhance one’s study of codex literature for the purpose of edifying oneself in knowledge.

WORD TEST deals with the understanding of Scriptural Scholarship and Translations. For those that call themselves Christians, it is imperative to know and understand the ancient writings.
It is more than just praying, reading the Bible and participating in fellowship with other believers.
Scriptural Understanding & proper interpretation needs to be daily activated.

As one who has studied, lectured, and still learning the process of examining the Writings of the Old and New Testament, it is so important that individuals articulate and promulgate the Bible with understanding. It is having knowledge of what the writings represent.
It is also important to go back to things that one has misinterpreted & get a better understanding.

The Bible is not defined by denomination, organization, degrees, personal doctrine and dogma. It is unfortunate that groups, individuals and the like, have attempted to make the Bible fit in with their own agenda. In Abnormal Psychology this is called "Rationalization" and "Intellectualization", i.e., attempting to make the Bible say what they want it to say to agree with their way of thinking, instead of what the text is stating.

I am a student of learning. That is, I am constantly learning on a daily basis.  I find each time I study different subjects, I learn something new and fresh.

We can look at the writings that tell the importance of study.
Matthew 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.”Knowing” in this context is from the Greek word EIDO (I-DO), which means perceive, be sure, understand. As a noun it means, clear and certain mental apprehension. As an adjective it means, evidencing the possession of inside information, alert and fully informed, and highly educated; having extensive information or understanding.

Look at Old and New Testament Scriptures on this subject matter.

  • DEUTERONOMY 17:19 (AMP) "And it shall be with him and he shall read it all the days of his life, so that he may learn to fear [and worship] the Lord his God [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect], by carefully obeying (keeping foremost in his thoughts and actively doing) all the words of this law and these statutes,"
  • JOHN 5:39 (BLB) "You diligently search the Scriptures because you think to have eternal life in them, and these are they bearing witness concerning Me;"
  • ACTS 17:11 (BLB) "Now these, who were more noble than those in Thessalonica, received the word with all readiness, on every day examining the Scriptures, whether these things were so."
It is important to give a short commentary on this scripture: Many Christians look at the pastor or teacher as the only ones responsible to study the scriptures. This specific scripture (Acts 17:11) is referring to all believers in Christ. Studying God’s Word is each and every person’s own responsibility. This scripture is talking about the students at Berea. They searched the writings as a daily duty because they had eagerness for the truth. Searched in this context means: To make a thorough examination of; look over carefully in order to find something; explore.
  • ROMANS 15:4 (ESV) "For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope."
  • II TIMOTHY 2:15 (KJV) Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.”
Again, the responsibility is for each person to carefully study with analysis & objective.  This should be applied in any area of study & research.

Accurate knowledge is powerful.  Distribution of accurate knowledge is powerful. Making application of the accurate knowledge one has attained, is powerful and you will be empowered.

There is a term called Philology.
Philology is the study of written records, the establishment of their authenticity and their original form, and the determination of their meaning. It is developed from the Greek word Philologia.
Meaning “ love of discussion, learning, literature, studiousness.”

Here is WORD TEST Part One.
